IIT Roorkee: Assistant Professor, Special Drive (Mathematics)

IIT Roorkee's Special Drive (Advt. IITR/FR-SRD/2026/19) invites Assistant Professor applications from SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PD candidates. The Department of Mathematics and the Department of Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computing are both listed. Applicants may apply to more than one unit. It suits reserved-category PhD holders with a strong research record.

What you'll do

• Teach in the department you are selected for
• Plan a research programme with the faculty initiation grant
• Serve at any IIT Roorkee campus as needed

Who can apply

• Grade I needs a PhD with first class or equivalent and at least 3 years of industrial, research or teaching experience after the PhD
• Grade II needs a PhD with first class or equivalent and a very good academic record
• A valid category or disability certificate must be uploaded
• Mere meeting of the criteria does not guarantee an interview
