1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use SolxLab (solxlab.in), including reading posts, leaving comments and using the contact form. SolxLab is operated by the SolxLab owner, an individual based in India ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. Who can take part

Anyone can read the site. You must be at least 18 to leave a comment or send a message. That's because the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 needs parental consent before we handle a child's personal data, and we don't have a way to collect that consent.

3. What's on SolxLab

• Posts (models, papers, files and jobs) are published by the site owner. Some posts summarise or link to work by other people. That work belongs to its authors and stays under its own licence.
• Summaries and commentary are for research, review and discussion. They are not a substitute for the original paper or source.
• Links, code, models and datasets may be hosted elsewhere, for example on GitHub, arXiv or Google Drive. Their own terms and licences apply, and you are responsible for following them.
• Citations in the "Cite this" box are generated automatically from the details on the post. Check them against the original before you use them in published work.

4. Your comments and messages

• You're responsible for what you submit. Only post what you have the right to share.
• Comments are moderated. We may approve, edit for formatting, decline or remove any comment, at any time, without giving a reason.
• You keep ownership of your comments. By submitting one, you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display it on the site and keep it on file for as long as it remains published.
• Once approved, your comment and the name you gave are public. Your email address is never shown.
• Contact-form messages are private and go only to the site owner.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use SolxLab to post, send or share anything that:

• belongs to someone else and that you have no right to share, or that infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right;
• is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another person's privacy (including bodily privacy), or insulting or harassing on the basis of gender;
• is racially or ethnically objectionable, or promotes enmity between groups;
• is harmful to children;
• deceives or misleads people about where a message came from, or knowingly shares information that is false or misleading;
• impersonates another person;
• threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, its friendly relations with other countries, or public order;
• contains malware or any code designed to interrupt, damage or limit a computer system;
• is spam, advertising, or a phishing or money-making scheme;
• breaks any law currently in force.

Also don't try to break into, overload or disrupt the site. This includes probing for weaknesses, getting around rate limits, or scraping it in a way that slows it down for others.

If we find content that breaks these rules, we may remove it, block the person who posted it, and report it where the law requires.

6. Job listings

Job posts describe openings at other organisations. We are not the employer, recruiter or agent, and we don't take part in hiring. Verify every opening with the employer directly. Never pay a fee to apply for a job, and never share bank or identity documents through a link you haven't verified.

7. Paid downloads

Some models can be bought and downloaded.

• Price and payment. Prices are shown in Indian rupees (INR) on the post and are paid in full in advance. You can pay by UPI to the UPI ID shown on the post. Where offered, you can also pay by card or net banking through Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank login details.
• UPI payments are checked by hand. After paying by UPI, you submit the payment's UPI reference number (UTR). We match it against our bank statement, usually within 3 working days. We may reject an order if we can't find a matching payment for the exact amount. Submitting a false reference or a fake screenshot is fraud, and we may report it.
• What you get. Once your payment is confirmed (instantly for Razorpay, after our check for UPI), you get a private download link by email. Razorpay buyers also see it on screen. It works for 72 hours and up to 5 downloads. See the Delivery Policy.
• Licence. Buying a model gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for research and in your own projects, including commercial ones, unless the post says otherwise. You may not resell, re-upload or redistribute the files, or share your download link. The model itself and all rights in it remain with the SolxLab owner.
• Refunds. Digital downloads can't be returned once downloaded. The exceptions are explained in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• No guarantee of results. Models are research artefacts. We describe them as accurately as we can, but we don't promise any level of accuracy or performance on your data. Section 9 (No warranty) applies.

8. Our name and site

The SolxLab name, logo, site design, and the original summaries and commentary written for this site belong to the SolxLab owner. You may quote short extracts with a link back to the post. Please don't copy whole posts, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.

9. No warranty

The site and everything on it is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it accurate and online, but we don't promise that content is complete, correct or up to date, or that the site will always be available or free of errors. See the Disclaimer for more.

10. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or from any content, link, download, model, dataset or job listing on it. This includes lost data, profit or opportunity. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

11. Your responsibility to us

If you break these terms or the law through what you post on SolxLab, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.

12. Content from other users

For comments and other material from users, we act as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and we follow the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. You can report content that breaks these terms through our Grievance Redressal process, or our Copyright & Takedown process for copyright claims.

13. Suspension and changes

We may change, pause or close any part of the site. We may also block access for anyone who breaks these terms. We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. Using the site after an update means you accept the new terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be decided by the courts that have jurisdiction under Indian law.
