Together AI: Software Engineer Intern (Summer 2027)

Together AI runs an AI cloud, and this is a 12-week on-site software engineering internship at its San Francisco headquarters. Interns are placed in one of its engineering teams, such as Platform Engineering, Infrastructure or Inference. They work on scalable systems, product features and performance-critical code, and may contribute to open source projects. It suits computer science students graduating by summer 2028.

What you'll do

• Design, develop and maintain software across the stack, from low-level systems to user-facing interfaces
• Work with product managers, designers and engineers to deliver features and improvements
• Write clean, efficient and well-documented code
• Take part in code reviews, debugging and performance optimization
• Contribute ideas to the direction of products and technical infrastructure

Who can apply

• Actively pursuing a degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field, earned or expected by summer 2028
• Excellent programming skills
• Experience with version control such as Git and collaborative workflows
• Ability to solve problems creatively and explain trade-offs
• Bonus: web development, databases, distributed systems, cloud platforms or open source contributions
