CesiumAstro: Summer 2027 Mechanical Engineering Internship

CesiumAstro builds communication systems for satellites and other platforms. Its mechanical team takes summer 2027 interns to design structures and thermal systems. Focus areas include conduction-cooled packaging, deployable structures and composite space structures.

What you'll do

• Work on product development, design, test and manufacturing of structures and thermal systems
• Work on conduction-cooled packaging, deployable structures and mechanisms, or lightweight composite structures
• Present work regularly to peers, mentors and company leadership

Who can apply

• Enrolled in a BS, MS or PhD programme in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Upper-level undergraduate coursework in structures and heat transfer
• Must be a US citizen, permanent resident, asylee or refugee, or eligible for export authorisation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
